Putting a shell around my heart

So started watching House, and thought of this while watching it.

Letting go of the attachments that I hold dear,
Putting a shell around my heart,
To protect it from the pain,
You put it through…

People think I’m cynical,
That I don’t let people,
Get close to me.

Truthfully its just a trust thing…

One day I will open up again,
It will just take the right person,
One who believes in me,
And understands me for me…

Let’s just wait and see,
How the story unfolds…

I love writing songs in relation to things I see, how I feel, characters I watch or people I know. It is these that give me the inspiration to write and the subjects in which I write about. So I have these people and things to thank. I hope you enjoy my work. Much <3

  1. I love House. That biting sarcasm is second to none. It is grim and horrific at times but it does show us what it is like to live in a world where everything only appears to be perfectly normal.

      1. Besides Cuddy? I mean, I can’t deal with how gorgeous she is. That eye roll is to die for. It has to be Amber (seasons 4 and 5).
