A Ashy Grimm’s Prince Charming View

A prince I may be,
But the walls of the palace are my prison…
Although I am light and carefree,
Soon the royal responsibilities will weigh down,
Down on me…

As my father says,
My boy, now you must find,
A bride who will stay by your side,
One whom will give you an heir,
Later down the line…

A bride,
I guess it would be nice,
A change.
From all the formalities that surround me…

But my choice,
Would have to be wise…
After all I do not want to be left,
With girl who is only looks,
For that only scratches the surface…

A grand ball to find a bride,
Is what my father requested,
Three days is what I made it,
This should give me some time…

To at least find,
Someone whom is not full of falsity.
But is interesting, sweet, and chatty…

Alas, the first day of the ball arrives,
As do the many ladies,
All of whom have smiles plastered on their faces,
With greed in their eyes,
None of whom interest me…

What a waste of time…

Suddenly the door opens,
A graceful presence enters,
With a slight smile,
And a gentle look in her eye,
She glides down the steps…

Feeling drawn to her,
I ask her to take a dance with me,
We talk a lot as I lead her,
Ever so gently…

The clock hits 12 and then she runs,
All the way to a pear tree,
Although I follow she vanishes,
Nowhere she can be seen…

Then ball night two,
Our chemistry grows,
And she’s even more beautiful than before,
Then the same thing happens as,
The clock strikes 12,
She runs far away…

Now is the last and final day,
I cannot lose her again,
I refuse every lady,
As me and her dance the night away,
She is defiantly the bell-of-the-ball…

Each night I know a little more,
One thing is for sure,
She’s the one,
The one I have been looking for,
Hopefully she will be,
My bride…

The clock strikes 12,
And again she runs away very fast,
A gold slipper she drops upon the stairs,
Looking down at this slipper,
Its size looks fairly unique,
So I make a vow,
To make the woman who’s foot this fits,
My wife, my princess, the queen of my heart…

For how many ladies in this kingdom,
Can have a foot,
This small and delicate…

Going first to the house,
In which the pear tree stands,
I see the sisters,
I know it is not them,
But I already said,
I would let every girl in the kingdom try,
As I am confident,
No girl other than her can fit this shoe…

The eldest tries it first,
Oh no have I been mistaken…

It’s a perfect fit,
But how,
Oh never mind,
My word I must abide,
In my head I curse,
As I help her on my horse…

I must find a way out,
Wait, the doves are singing,
She is not the one,
As I look down at her foot,
I see her foot is bleeding…

Ewww… How disgusting,
Oh well,
The other sister must try,
I suppose…

Darn… It fits her as well,
As I ride away with her,
The doves warn me again,
Tricked again…
I have just about had it,
With these sisters!

But I have to ask:
Do you not have any other daughters?
I mean she has to be here,
Does she not…

Then they call for an Ashputtel,
Now there’s a face I remember…

The shoe fits her perfectly…
Off I ride,
With my new upcoming bride,
And as I pass the doves,
They sing:
That she is my true bride…
Down they fly,
To perch on her shoulders…

And the big day arrives,
To make Ashputtel my bride…
Then in the corner of my eye,
At the start of the ceremony,
Full of lies and deceit,
I see the two sisters,
Walking in celebrating,
Trying to gain some of Ashputtel’s fortune,
Then two doves fly down,
To peck out an eye from each…

Then when the ceremony ends,
As we are walking away,
I see the two lying sisters,
As they walk out of the church,
Full of smirks,
A pair of doves fly down,
To peck out the remaining eyes of the sisters…

Damn,
I hope Ashputtel did not see,
As it was quite horrific indeed…

I plan to protect her,
From any nasty deeds,
So that we may live happily,
My Ashputtel and me…

A Snowy Prince View

Recently I’ve seen a lot of funny videos about the Fairytale Princes (Especially the Disney ones), and what they would be like if they were real people in this day and age. From the videos and the stories, the princes are portrayed as shallow men who only go for the princesses looks rather than who they are. Additionally, in some of the fairytales I grew up with, the princes are unable to recognize the princesses or their true love when they are not in their beautiful ball gowns or not how they originally looked when the princes first saw them.

Also in Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the prince kisses Snow White and that is how she is brought back to life however in the Grimm’s version of Snow White (Snow Drop), she is brought back to life only due to the prince’s servants stumbling causing a jolt which dislodges the piece of poison apple causing it to fall out of her throat (Not entirely sure if that would work in real like but hey its a fairytale =D ).

So I decided to try and do a poem from the prince’s point of view:

Deciding to take a walk through the woods,
With my servants by my side,
Away from the vanity of this kingdom’s Queen,
Though she may be fair,
There’s something unnerving about her stares…

I stumble upon a most interesting thing,
Several Dwarfs surrounding a glass coffin,
On top of a mountain,
And in it contains a maiden much fairer,
And sweeter looking than any woman I have ever seen…

A peaceful but sad look lays upon her,
Fair face…
She does not look deceased,
but simply asleep…

Then I see it,
The golden words that are inscribed onto the coffin,
Royal Princess,
Could it be?

Could she be the one the king seeks,
His fair daughter,
Whom was said to have run away,
And never to have returned,
The one that has caused,
This Kingdom’s King’s solemn disposition…

The princess from a far kingdom,
This Kingdom,
Whom My father always told me stories of,
A princess so fair and so sweet…

That I had fallen for her so many times,
Now I actually see her in bodily form,
I’ve decided if I am unable to marry her,
I will protect and cherish her in this coffin,
As my dearest possession…
But I simply cannot live without her in my life..

The dwarfs seem to be in the same mind as I,
But taking pity on me,
As they must of her,
When she came into their lives,
They finally let me have her…

Thus I asked my servants,
To carry her coffin,
On their shoulders
Back to my palace!

Oh no! They have fallen,
Are they ok? Is she ok?

Wait, she has awakened,
As if from a deep slumber,
And of course she is as surprised and confused,
As I would be in her situation…

She askes where she is,
I say joyfully with me!
To ambitious maybe,
But I do not want to lose her,
Or for anyone to hurt her…

So I will tell her what I will give her, LOVE:
“I will love you better than anyone in the whole wide world.”
And ask her:
“Will you come with me to my father’s place and be my wife?”
For I want her to stay forever by my side!

She said YES!

I will give her everything she needs,
And wants within reason of course
First things first,
She seeks revenge on that vain queen…
And I will abide by my bride to be…

So to the wedding,
The queen from her Kingdom is invited,
Fearfully she recognizes my princess,
In hot-red iron shoes the Queen is put,
To dance away the rest of her life…
Whilst Snow Drop and I live Happily Ever After…
Telling the people of the land the strange way in which we met…

The Game

Back when we were,
Carefree,
And didn’t give a damn,
About what other people thought…

All we cared about,
Was playing the game,
That blew all our worries away…

It was just us,
And the ball,
The world outside,
Just seemed to fade,
And the time would fly by…

Cause we,
Had fun,
And were always joking around…

It was you who made me laugh,
When I was down…

And you who told me,
To believe in myself,
To shoot and to score,
Basket after basket…

You taught me things,
That I’d never even thought of before…

Lay-ups, rebounds, how shoot and score…

That was the game we played…
All day…

Grandad

As I look up at the stars at night,
I wander whether your looking,
Down at me…
Protecting me silently.

Its been so long now,
Many, many years,
I sometimes try to imagine,
What you would do or say,
If you was still here.

Would be proud of me?
Would you say everything’s going to be ok…..

As I look up at the stars at night,
I wander whether your looking,
Down at me…
Protecting me silently.

Would things be different,
Would you smile more,
As the number of your grandchildren grew and grew…
Granddad I miss you,
Hope your doing well up there…

As I look up at the stars at night,
I wander whether your looking,
Down at me…
Protecting me silently.

You may be gone,
But you’ll never be forgotten…

Please forgive me…

Concept:

This girl (Miss A) fell for this guy (Mr. b), but they had to separate, as they lived in two different worlds. She promised she would wait for him, but they fell out one day and she swore at him, that was the beginning of their downfall…
Later she received a message from him telling her that he wasn’t the one for her.
She was very upset as he completely ignored any messages she sent him. Miss A continues to look for some sort of closure between the two of them, and wanders if he’s forgiven her and if they can ever be the close friends they once were…

For Mr.B

Its strange but I look back,

Every now and again,

Hoping to understand,

The events that transpired,

before and after you left…

Have you forgiven me,

So unsure…

Don’t know what to say,

to you,

But really want to speak to you…

Can we be friends?

Can I know,

Why you don’t, ever talk to me anymore…

If I hurt you,

I’m sincerely sorry,

from the bottom of my heart…

I hope that if you haven’t forgiven me yet,

That one day you will

I miss you…

Miss A

New Friends

I must apologize for not writing on this for so long, as I have been busy doing my driving theory and what not,  so I hope this song will make up for it a little bit. Its written for someone who made me smile, and has become a good friend of mine recently.

Hope you like it 🙂

When I first met you,

I thought you were kind of cool,

Wasn’t sure how to speak to you,

And I was a little nervous too…

But when I finally spoke to you,

I found out you were cheeky and warm,

Making faces at me,

And joking around…

Although I haven’t known you for long,

It feels like its been a while…

My new friend,

I’m glad to have met you….

So whatever happens,

I’ll be there for you…

Be sure to be happy,

And laugh and smile like you make me do….

My new friend,

I’m glad to have met you….

I hope we’re friends forever and ever…

Peace out

Echo

This is something me and my sister Zoe(who’s 6) wrote last year, when we were travelling in the car 🙂 She’s my little inspiration sometimes, and can be very funny and cheeky ❤

Hope you enjoy it 🙂

Echo; echo; echo;

Follow the echo…

Hearing the echo from my heart,

In my mind,

Surrounding me,

Constantly…

Echo; echo; echo;

Follow the echo…

I’m walking forward…

Following blindly…

Hoping that it,

Will lead,

Somewhere that make me Happy…

Echo; echo; echo;

Follow the echo…

Is it possible,

That suddenly,

When I hear this echo,

Calling out to me.

That all my worries,

Pain & suffering,

Will diminish, into a….

Echo; echo, echo; echo; echo, echo; echo…

Follow the echo…

Dreaming freely,

This echo pulling me,

To a direction,

That I’ve never considered,

Or seen,

The I hear that…..

Echo; echo; echo;

Follow the echo…

It swipes me off my feet…

Into my dreams…

A place where…You FREE…Following that echoing…

Silent Attraction

Concept:

In this piece the girl has a silent attraction for someone but is scared to tell them, as she’s been hurt before. But she hopes one day he’ll notice
and maybe he’s the one who will breakthrough the guard she’s shielded herself in…
Hope you enjoy it 🙂

Nine: This dog's story is very sad and makes you want to look after him forever. He was rescued by a wonderful lady and is now in good care. Dunno why but this piece reminded me of him, and what the sheild he surrounds himself in.

Hey can you be mine,

Don’t need no-one,

too extravagant…

I just want you,

Don’t ask me why,

Just know,

I want to be,

By your side….

I’ll be content and happy,

Just to know,

That your fine…

Everyday this silent attraction grows,

Don’t know,

When it started

But sooner or later…

It’s gonna be outta control….

My heart has turned into,

Wild horses,

Running through white sand beaches,

Churching up a storm-like atmosphere…

Oooo…

I wanna tell you,

So badly….

But like a pearl,

My hearts got a shell,

Around it….

To stop it breaking and hurting…

I hope that one day,

This shell will be gone,

And you’ll be the one,

Protecting it….

For my little bro

Yesterday, was my little brother’s 14th birthday! So this is a little something I wrote for him, to let him know how much he means to me as a little brother, regardless of how annoying he can be sometimes, he can also be funny and sweet. So in my opinion he’s the best little brother I could ask for. So this is for you, you little smart-ass 😛

Hope you like it.

Cousin and little brother
Cousin and little brother

Hey bro,

You’ve helped me out a lot,

In past…

And I just wanted to say thank you…

And that,

As your older sister,

I’ll always be there for ya…

I’ll be the person you can talk to,

The one who will lend you a hand..

Cause they say bloods stronger than water…

So I’ll always, always be there ya.

And although I may tease you,

You never take it to heart…

So we have a lot of laughs…

As your older sister,

I’ll always be there for ya…

14 years gone by,

And I still remember,

When you were,

so small…

following me around,

copying everything I said,

and trying to do everything I did…

But now your almost,

taller than me…

And your getting more mature,

Finding your own way,

Your own path…

As your older sister,

I’ll always be there for ya…

Regardless of what happens in the future,

You’ll always be my little brother…

Much Love little bro

My little brother!
